So Much To Say, So Much to say!

I'm still two days behind so here goes. Yesterday was our youth fun day so we got to actually sleep in until 6:30, yes! We met Kyle in a small town on the way to Cortez and then headed up to the mountains. On the way up we found out that Donny does not like Daft Punk, Chuck Norris is king, and Josh is good at making up jokes on the spot. Once up in the mountains we met the Cortez youth and took a short hike to a great overlook of the forest. We met Curtis, who is the youth leader in Cortez and I got to meet all of the youth which was great. We really just relaxed, ate bbq, played washers, and played volleyball (which Pastor Kyle is still good at). Josh kept up his usual antics causing Pastor Kyle to say his jaw hurt from laughing so much. It was great and we headed up to Cortez for our Youth Rally.

We got to the church two hours early and after decided not to use fake blood for the everything skit because of the church's new carpet, we started practicing and Kristen got real blood on the carpet. Ironic isn't it. After that we decided to just do it with the fake blood and both came out pretty easily. The skit went well except for the fact that Josh forgot the roses but it still went smooth. Pastor Bland preached about getting involved and looking for places to be used and then all the youth went to DQ afterwards. We found out that Richard has a soulmate in Cortez because this kid Elijah and him get along very well. Every girl in Cortez likes Josh and when they were talking and saying "what is his name" he overheard and yelled "the only name you need to know is Alainna JONES!" Priceless. We figured out that there are toilet ladies in Cortez too, cool runnings is a very quotable movie, and there are different leadership styles. We got back to the hotel to find that our room was cleaned for the first time since we've been here which was good.
We all had a blast and are looking forward to what God is going to do this weekend with our revival services.
